Senplay provide a weekday, non-school setting designed specifically for neurodiverse children aged 2–11 who need consistency, structure, and connection during this uncertain period. Through sensory-rich play, small-group routines, and a nurturing environment, we offer children a place where they can belong, engage, and thrive — even while the system catches up.

A Nurturing Space for Children in Educational Transition

At Senplay, we understand that not every child fits neatly into the systems that exist — especially those who are currently in limbo. Whether your child is awaiting a special school placement, struggling to access mainstream education, or being homeschooled without a suitable alternative, the Senplay Bridge Provision is here to support you.

Monday to Friday

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Social Skills Circle

• Daily group time focusing on turn-taking, listening, emotional naming, and collaborative games.

• May include visual prompts, social stories, or Makaton.

🧠 Sensory Integration Zones

• Multi-sensory spaces with lights, textures, sounds, and movement to support emotional regulation and sensory needs.

• Helps children calm, focus, or re-engage when overwhelmed.

🧘‍♀️ Movement & Regulation Room

• Soft play equipment, therapy balls, yoga mats, trampettes.

• Activities for gross motor development, body awareness, and emotional regulation.

If your child is currently out of school or being home schooled due to unmet needs, we encourage you to speak to your Local Authority. If appropriate, they may refer your child to the Senplay Bridge Provision and discuss available funding or hours.

Because no child should be left behind while they wait.

📚 Quiet Reading Nook

• A calming, low-stimulation corner with a variety of picture books, sensory books, and story cushions.

• Supports language development and quiet time.

🌿 Outdoor Exploration Area

• Nature walks, garden boxes, mud kitchens, and sensory trails.

• Promotes physical development, risk assessment, and connection to nature

✍️ Creative Station (Art & Mark-Making)

• Free access to materials like paints, crayons, clay, and collage with guided projects to build confidence, expression, and fine motor skills.

🎶 Music & Rhythm Zone

• Instruments, sing-along time, and movement to music sessions.

• Builds auditory processing, rhythm, memory, and joy

🪑 Structured Play Areas

• Themed zones (e.g., construction, role-play, small world, puzzles) with intentional learning-through-play setups.

• Encourages problem-solving, fine motor skills, and social interaction.

🧩 Cognitive & Life Skills Area

• Matching, sorting, sequencing, visual schedules, and practical tasks like snack preparation or dressing games.

• Supports executive functioning and independence.

Senplay is not a school. We do not provide teachers, therapists, or 1:1 carers.
Instead, we offer what many families need most right now: a safe, supported space in between.
